Naked Mutant Poetry

ABOUT LENA

She has eaten fire
Til her lungs were moltenous lakes
And her sorrows swam spirituous
Mundus Subterraneus She

She has eaten fire
Til her heart
Reincarnated to coal

Her passions pleaded,
White hot orisons
Hers the ecstasy
Of the mad inevitable

She has eaten fire
Bewitched from the inside out
Sparks seeding spells
In magik's fierce florescence

She has eaten fire
Gestates her alchemy darkly
Her humours embodying
The brooding of flames
Her womb is a kettle for stars

She has eaten fire
Bright in the dead-
Centre of the radiant century
Wills herself to the edge of
Precipitous bliss-

And falls

-Fire's autumn is embers
And they turn
Summoning subtle spectres
To glow behind her eyes
To smithy her smile in to life

It curves there
Like the blade of a samurai sword

Immaculated vitrified,
Perfected by heat

She martyrs those flames inside her
So she may offer her art
Burning with a blue flame
Extrusive incandescent.
